Dresden, March 09th, 2023 – XPLM continues its growth and expands into the high-tech country of Japan. The Dresden-based and global solution provider for barrier-free information and data flow in companies wants to establish itself in the Far East in the long term with the new office in Tokyo and build up a high-performance local team.
"With Cédric Ogive, we have found the ideal person to manage our Tokyo office. As a long-standing industry expert, he combines technical expertise with country-specific experience," says Rolf Pfenning, Managing Director of XPLM Solution GmbH. Ogive has already been working in Japan since 2011 and has accompanied the development of PLM systems in various companies and positions there. Born in France, he speaks fluent French, English and Japanese and will in future manage the cooperation between the XPLM headquarters in Dresden and the new office in Tokyo.
"I look forward to working with Japanese manufacturers, integrators and suppliers to help shape the future of the industry," says digitalization expert Cedric Ogive, adding, "As one of the most developed industrialized countries in the world, Japan has established itself as the second largest PLM market after the US. Market entry for industry innovator XPLM is therefore an important and logical step."
Karl 'Charly' Wachtel, Managing Director of XPLM Solution GmbH, is looking forward to the new challenges. His assessment: "The Japanese economy is highly efficient. As its target markets also expect increasingly individualized products, flexible batch sizes and shorter innovation cycles, there is a growing need to make the product engineering process (PEP) interdisciplinary. Engineering processes must be integrated with those of manufacturing and commercial areas."
According to 'Charly' Wachtel, the XSPHERE web services developed by XPLM are of particular importance. This enables companies from industry and other sectors to exchange technical data conveniently: "All relevant information can be linked across locations and systems from the familiar working environment. The linked data updates automatically without synchronization, and the original data models remain unchanged. This system is particularly advantageous for companies that are strong exporters and operate internationally, as is often the case in Japan," says industry expert Wachtel.
XPLM is an industry leading provider of open, vendor independent connectivity solutions. The core competence of the company, founded in 2005, is to connect people, systems, and processes.
