The DigiTain (Digitalization for Sustainability) research project is running at full speed. The aim is to design and implement processes, methods and models for the fully digital development of sustainable electric drive architectures.
The overall project consortium met for the third time in early 2024, this time in Freiburg in Breisgau, Germany. XPLM focused on the further development of the PLM system model for the management of simulation processes and data in Aras Innovator.

As soon as the first data management tests on the example model "bending beam" and its simulation data have been successfully completed, all project partners will be given access to the system and receive training.
Another item on the meeting's agenda was to set up a demo environment for the integrated system modeling tool Enterprise Architect (EA) in Aras Innovator. This makes it possible to link the individual elements of the model for the sustainable electric drive with the development artifacts.
Tip: As the topic of sustainability is becoming increasingly important, we will be presenting our concept for providing data for sustainable product development at this year's EEE2024 Entwerfen Entwickeln Erleben in Dresden. This enables developers to significantly influence the degree of sustainability right from the start of the product development process, for example when selecting materials. As they need information from different sources to make decisions, we show how they can overcome these system boundaries.
