Siemens Teamcenter Integration for Bentley Microstation

XPLM’s Integration Platform connects Bentley Microstation with Siemens Teamcenter, in order to support the complete, interdisciplinary management of product data in one system.

MCAD relevant system- and process data can now be controlled in Siemens Teamcenter. Our Integration Platform also guarantees complete traceability in the product development process. Through automated process flows, time is saved and sources of error are avoided. Furthermore, the XPLM Integration Platform can be fully customized to the specific challenges and needs of your company.

Functionalities and Key Benefits

  • Simultaneous engineering: several designers have the chance to work on different parts of the same CAD group concurrently
  •  BOM-release: is used to create product structures in the PLM system based on CAD design structures.
  • Save in PLM/ERP: creates a CAD document part list to enable the management of all relevant CAD designs and make data available to the rest of the company with the full support of the Microstation user-rights management. Several PLM/ERP numbering options are also possible, including the option to rename CAD data. Visible files (PDF) can be created automatically, and while it is being saved, also be saved as a PLM object.
  • Update properties: properties of metadata and classifications can be exchanged and updated bi-directionally, allowing for the automatic filling of title blocks. The bi-directional mapping between CAD properties and PLM values is set-up, with the help of the graphical Mapping Editor; a standard feature of XPLM's Integration Platform.
  • Workplace management: offers the creation, set-up, deletion, compression and upload of individual, multi-level jobs.
