Reduce time and cost pressures. Boost innovation.

Would you like to drive your innovations forward but are already working at full capacity? Then it's time to unlock your potential for more efficient engineering. Integrating all your development tools in PLM is the first step towards significantly reducing routine work and organizing deliverables more efficiently. PLM systems also offer you an opportunity to harmonize and automate your development processes, and not only within a single domain but also across different domains. When linked with downstream processes, such as virtual prototyping, procurement and manufacturing, they make it possible for you to further enhance the quality of your processes and products.

In this webinar, we will show you how the integration of your ECAD tools for electrotechnical and electronic development in Aras PLM will help you exploit your full potential.

Implement dynamically changing requirements quickly and flexibly

Even if in the future you manage your ECAD projects in the PLM system, your design engineers will still be able to work easily and intuitively from their familiar development environment. The advantage that our ECAD integration platform integrate2 offers you is that responsibility for numerous organizational tasks is transferred to the ARAS PLM system.

When a project for developing a new electrotechnical or electronic system or further developing an existing system is created, the integration automatically sets up the entire storage structure for the product or assembly. It includes all the documents and objects, such as circuit diagrams and PCB design, as well as the generated output and manufacturing data. Naming is performed according to the defined strings. If an existing project is used to create a new design, existing attributes are automatically adapted accordingly.

Open, edit and save documents from the PLM system and automatically generate BOMs from the CAD structures in the PLM system – all this at the push of a button from the ECAD application. All actions taken are secure, lean and transparent thanks to, among other things, version and change management, the status network, access protection as soon as documents are edited or extracted, and controlled synchronization of the ECAD library and PLM information.

The obvious relationships between drawings, models and objects like the material master and BOM that are indicated by links between objects support the end-to-end process from offer through to delivery. In addition, intelligently controlled processes such as automated data exchange and release processes shorten the time to market.
